The IAP has teamed up with the Halifax to offer its members new Stakeholder pensions with very favourable charges that could boost their pension funds by thousands of pounds over the life of the pension. The Halifax already offers amongst the lowest charges in the industry but the IAP has negotiated even better terms for its members, reducing the normal annual management charge from 0.9% to 0.75%, reducing further to only 0.6% if enough members take up the offer.
Commenting on the new deal, Mike Ryan, Director General of the IAP, said, "We have spent some time looking for a really attractive pensions deal for IAP members and I believe we have found it with The Halifax. The extra pension benefits over the years will far outweigh the modest cost of IAP membership."
